"POPULAR" é um espetáculo-desafio que parte da autoficção de que a criadora e intérprete pretende ser uma artista popular, desafiando os padrões do panorama cultural e do universo popular através de uma fusão entre os dois. A proposta serve-se da fricção existente entre a cultura de elite e a cultura de massas para pensar o público enquanto coletivo e as divisões sociais que esta tensão pode refletir.
Entre a biografia e a pesquisa, esta criação conduz a um questionamento sobre outros conceitos que pertencem à mesma família lexical da palavra “popular”, como popularidade, pop e populismo. "POPULAR" acabará sempre por se questionar se poderá ter sido, ou não, popular. — Sara Inês Gigante
No Dia Mundial do Teatro, Braga recebe "POPULAR", o projeto vencedor da 6ª edição da Bolsa Amélia Rey Colaço, uma iniciativa d´O Espaço do Tempo, do Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, A Oficina, e Teatro Viriato.

"POPULAR" is a performance-challenge that starts from an autofiction in which the creator and performer aims to become a popular artist, challenging the standards of the cultural landscape and of popular culture through a fusion between the two. The proposal uses the friction between elite culture and mass culture to reflect on the audience as a collective and on the social divisions that this tension may reveal.
Between biography and research, this creation leads to a questioning of other concepts that belong to the same lexical family as the word “popular”, such as popularity, pop and populism. "POPULAR" will always end up questioning whether it could, or could not, have been popular. — Sara Inês Gigante
On World Theatre Day, Braga hosts "POPULAR", the winning project of the 6th edition of the Bolsa Amélia Rey Colaço, an initiative by O Espaço do Tempo, Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, A Oficina, and Teatro Viriato.
