Resultado de uma encomenda do INDEX 2026 e do festival holandês Rewire, o artista visual e investigador sonoro Lawrence Abu Hamdan e a banda de pós-jazz Supersilent juntam-se em volta do trabalho feito pela Earshot — a primeira organização sem fins lucrativos dedicada ao estudo do som para a defesa dos direitos humanos e do ambiente, criada por Hamdan em 2023. A performance tem um foco particular na Palestina e na investigação da Earshot aos ataques a jornalistas pelas forças israelitas, usando como matéria-prima as últimas imagens captadas por câmaras de vigilância no território palestiniano antes ou durante a sua destruição.

Resulting from a commission by INDEX 2026 and the Dutch festival Rewire, visual artist and sound researcher Lawrence Abu Hamdan and the post-jazz band Supersilent come together around the work developed by Earshot — the first non-profit organisation dedicated to the study of sound for the defence of human rights and the environment, founded by Hamdan in 2023. The performance places a particular focus on Palestine and on Earshot’s investigation into attacks on journalists by Israeli forces, using as source material the last images captured by surveillance cameras in Palestinian territory before or during their destruction.
